Let’s start with a foundational question - What stage are you currently in?* Nowhere near ready to retire. Currently preparing to leave a full-time work environment. I’m currently enjoying retirement. 2. How do you realistically describe yourself to others?* Provide my name and my previous job title/workplace. Share something I’m involved in or passionate about. Tell my name, maybe add where I’m from and some details about my family. 3. How comfortable are you with being uncomfortable?* I’m not opposed to trying new things - I just rarely seek out the opportunity I don’t like change and I am not willing to venture outside my comfort zone. I thrive on finding new and exciting things to try! 4. Do you feel the need to always have a companion?* I love people and would prefer to never be alone. I prefer a mix of being surrounded by friends and family while also enjoying moments of solitude. While I enjoy the company of others, I can be content with doing things alone. 5. Do you have a hobby/activity, philanthropic cause, or continuing education opportunity that you are truly passionate about?* Definitely! I am overly involved in multiple things that keep me active and growing. There are some things I am passionate about, but I don’t make them enough of a priority. I don’t have anything that I’m really enthusiastic about in my life, but I’m interested in finding one now. 6. How determined are you to do all the things you would love to do? (i.e. a bucket list)* The only thing I’m looking for is relaxation. Who needs anything more? So many goals and so little time! But I’m working on checking off each one as we speak... There are a few things I would like to see or do before I die, but I am not actively planning on completing them anytime soon. 7. What type of people are you surrounded by?* Individuals who prioritize comfort and routine. I enjoy the company of a variety of people with all varying viewpoints, strengths, and goals. I surround myself with kindred spirits who challenge me to consider differing viewpoints, reach outside my comfort zone and push me to be the best I can be. 8. How do you view failure?* Trying your best but ultimately not succeeding Not being able to reach your goals and aspirations. Never attempting to try. 9. Do you truly care about improving your life?* It could be better, but frankly I’m happy with how things are. Absolutely! I’m optimistic about the future. That’s why I continue to strive to better myself and those around me. I would genuinely like for it to improve but I feel, realistically, that not much can be done at this point.
